Panhandle Motorcycle Society Inc.

Panhandle Motorcycle Society is a place that Bikers in the Pensacola area dreamed about for years. A place to meet and make news friends, that like to feel the wind in there face and ride a scooter. Where all bikers are treated equal as long as you pay $10.00 for a membership, this is a great bargain. The PMS home is a large building with every comfort you can imagine pool tables, dance floor, bar, and outdoor patio. Also they serve cool beverages. One dam big parking lot and 6 foot fence around it all. PMS Bike night is on Thursday and Sunday is open house everyone is welcome to visit all day.

Henry Ezell and John "Muff" Radciff thought it would be a great idea to have a place where everyone would gather and have a great time no rules and the freedom to do anything. There is one thing that I know about bikers they all want to be free with no one telling them what to do, But if you get 2 bikers or more together the first thing they do is make rules to follow an people to enforce them. So they decided to form a Society of Bikers. November 2008 the Panhandle Motorcycle Society opened Chartered in June 2008 with the following Purpose, Goals and Objectives: (this is form the by-laws of the Panhandle Motorcycle Society)

Milton Approves Red Light Camera

Milton City Council members agreed Tuesday night to seek proposals for an automated red light enforcement system. “We will recommend intersections for red light cameras,” said Milton Police Chief Greg Brand

“The company will do a feasibility survey for things like whether the intersection has large enough volume of traffic to substantiate a camera.”Company officials will choose two intersections. “I think cameras would be good at Parkmore and Highway 90, Glover Lane and Highway 90 or Dogwood Drive and Highway 90,” Brand said. When a driver runs a red light, the camera will take a picture and the image will be sent to the Milton Police Department.

I  believe Red light cameras do not work. The most recent study revealing the truth about the cameras was done by researchers at the University of South Florida College of Public Health.

“The rigorous studies clearly show red-light cameras don’t work,” said lead author Barbara Langland-Orban, professor and chair of health policy and management at the USF College of Public Health. “Instead, they increase crashes and injuries as drivers attempt to abruptly stop at camera intersections.”

In fact, six U.S. cities have been found guilty of shortening the yellow light cycles below what is allowed by law on intersections equipped with cameras meant to catch red-light runners. Those local governments have completely ignored the safety benefit of increasing the yellow light time and decided to install red-light cameras, shorten the yellow light duration, and collect the profits instead.

The cities in question include Union City, CA, Dallas and Lubbock, TX, Nashville and Chattanooga, TN, and Springfield, MO, according to Motorists.org, which collected information from reports from around the country. This isn’t the first time traffic cameras have been questioned as to their effectiveness in preventing accidents. In one case, the local government was forced to issue refunds by more than $1 million to motorists who were issued tickets for running red lights.

So I believe the old school method is best, a Police officer should give out the ticket not a camera.
